Hey everyone! Likely if you’re seeing this, you’re a part of my life in some way! Some of you may know that I went on an incredible trip to South Africa in April of 2018. We got to experience so much, but the most powerful experience for me was going to a local township in Cape Town. We met some amazing humans who live in poverty, many without electricity or running water and they greeted us with a smile and were so welcoming. I remember looking through a fence and see children without shoes playing with a deflated soccer ball, with so much joy. That altered me in the most remarkable way. I knew at that moment I would be back to do a Mission Trip.

Once I got home from my trip I did a lot of research to find an organization that was the best match for me and I found IVHQ- International Volunteer Headquarters. Then the pandemic hit. Lately I’ve felt that I need to give back to the world more than I am. I knew it was time to apply for a mission trip and I was over the moon when I got the email that my application had been approved and I was accepted into a mission trip in South Africa to volunteer with children
