My Travel Story

Ever since my first trip overseas when I was twenty one, I have never stopped thinking about travelling the world. I think of all the exciting places left to see and the new cultures I would experience.
I’ve checked a few items off the bucket list since that first big trip, but there’s one that has been a dream of mine since the beginning. A place that is enchanting, otherworldly, and completely foreign to me.
That destination is Thailand. There are so many wonders in this traveller’s paradise, so keep reading to get enticed by a few reasons why Thailand is my dream destination.
Thailand is the place National Geographic finds images for out-of-this-world golden temples so mind blowing they should be fake. Places like Wat Pra That Doi Suthep Temple, and the historic city of Ayutthaya look straight out of a movie. With ruins dating back centuries, it would be an adventure and honour like no other to walk amongst these places.
I’ve read you can live in Thailand for less than USD 10 per day.  Cheap local accommodations, amazing street vendors, and low-priced bars and tours would turn what is normally a pricey trip anywhere else into a worthy cultural experience.  With low prices like this, Thailand is a destination where I could truly “live like a local”, and maybe never return home!
Embarking on a trip to Thailand is the adventure of a lifetime, a place where both young backpackers visit for their gap year and seasoned travelers return time and again. Where the locals are friendly, the beaches are breathtaking and the food is better. I hope one day soon my dream destination will turn to reality.
