Support for the Children of Liberia
My Travel Story
On my last trip to Liberia in December 2020, I built a well in the capital city of Monrovia, which is currently providing safe drinking water for thousands of people. I also visited 3 orphanage homes: Amazing Grace Orphanage Home, Calvary Mission Orphanage Home, and Faith Orphanage Home. During my visit to these orphanages, I was able to help them with school supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, bags, and calculators. I was also able to help them with food supplies, such as bags of rice, onions, and gallons of oils for cooking. I was also able to donate soccer balls, cleats, and jerseys to the local boys and girls soccer teams provided by my former soccer team (Atlantic City FC).
I am starting this GoFundMe page because I am returning to Liberia on December 15th of this year. One of my goals is to build 3 new wells in rural communities outside the capital Monrovia. The people in my country are dying due to diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio that result from poor sanitation and contaminated drinking water. Another goal of mine is to visit 5 to 7 orphanages. These orphanages are homes of many children who regularly go hungry because they don't have enough food. With your help, I will also be donating school supplies to these orphanages. Simple things such as pens, pencils, and notebooks can help these children immensely. I will also be bringing soccer balls, jerseys, and cleats, so if you are willing to donate those things, please let me know. Being able to give back to people who are less fortunate than me has always been a passion of mine.
As a person who was once helped, I believe it is my responsibility to promote positive change in my community and stand up for the forgotten. Thank you so much for your donations. Through your help and support, I believe I can accomplish these goals.
