My Travel Story

Hi there! My name is Andy, and I am a junior high schooler in Texas. I  came here to FundMyTravel in hopes of support for my Community service abroad hopes. This whole idea started when I realized how boring summer can get when all you do is the same thing over and over again, such as playing video games. I realized what better way to improve my last summer as a high schooler than to do community service abroad. 
Not only will I get to immerse myself in new cultures, but I will also be able to improve my college applications. Colleges love it when you take risks to go out and experience new things, when you provide aid to the locals , and improve yourself in life skills. 
By taking part in these community service projects, I have the chance to improve people's lives along with mine. No matter the project, I will do it with a smile, since this is something I would have always wanted to do.  I have grown to love many countries and their lifestyles ( mostly from watching soccer), and this would be big for me to finally leave my bubble. Each of these countries has a special vibe to them, that I wish to love.

    I would also like to add that if I do raise money, but enough to be comfortable with to use on this community service trip, I will happily donate the total to a child refugee charity!
