My Travel Story

Hi everyone! My name is Jenna and I am an incoming senior at Baylor University studying speech pathology. After coming to college unhappy with what I was studying, I stumbled upon speech pathology and have felt a calling to the field ever since. What I love is that it combines my passions: serving others and working with children. Now fast forward to this year, I am preparing to apply to graduate school and trying to gain as much hands on experience in the field as possible. This program, Therapy Abroad, has opened the doors to be able to gain more experience in the field, while also serving internationally. Since I was a little kid, I have always had a love for travel and experiencing/obtaining an understanding of other cultures. I believe as a college student it is so important to be able to go beyond the bubble of your comfortabilty, and experience the world around you. Because of COVID-19, my dreams of going abroad in college have been crushed to this point. Therapy Abroad has given me the chance to live out my dream and go beyond my bubble, all while getting the experience I need before going to graduate school. In order to go, I must raise my funds. As a college student paying for all of my dues, this trip is only feasible with outside help.  If you feel compelled, help me be able to live out my dreams!
