Hello! My name is Alyssa Hendricks and I am currently a junior at Suffolk University majoring in finance. I am a proud member of the Student Government Association, a sister of Theta Phi Alpha, and treasurer of the SU Polling Club. I was recently given the great opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain to learn and experience Spanish life and culture. It has always been a dream of mine to visit this fascinating country! This program has a great foundation where I will be able to learn from the Spanish people and study in a different university environment. I will also have the chance to visit neighboring countries and study their economic structures as well, which will help me further my career and education in finance. My mother has always encouraged the importance of education and being able to see and explore the world and I will always be grateful to her for that! I thrive on the idea of being the first in my family on my father’s side to attend college, and to also be an example to my younger siblings who hope to follow in my footsteps one day. I have always been passionate about traveling the world and going on adventures. This will be a life-changing experience in which I will be able appreciate more of what the world has to offer. I have always been able to count on my extremely supportive circle of family and friends so I now ask for your help in being able to reach my goal (tuition, housing, meals and transportation) and perhaps add a new chapter to my life!
