I am an upper Midwesterner by birth and upbringing, who has enjoyed several rewarding careers and has lived around the United States. I spent my Junior year of college at the University of Vienna, Austria some thirty-five years ago and ever since have had a desire to live in Europe again, preferably in Germany, Austria or German speaking Switzerland. I have a BA in German from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) with a minor in English, as well as a MA in Systematic & Historical Theology from The Graduate Theological Union (Berkeley, California), and a second MA in Pastoral Ministry from The Franciscan School of Theology (Berkeley, California). I have enjoyed a career in art auction (Christie's & DoyleNewYork), as a high school teacher (Jesuit High School, Sacramento, California), and as a certified Life Coach/Pastoral Counselor from 2006-2015 in Ashland, Oregon and Las Vegas, Nevada. In May 2015, I returned to school full-time and earned a Master of Education in July 2016 from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. Now, at 56, I've decided to once again become an adventurer and return to teaching, this time teaching English to foreign students in their native country. Hence, I am planning to pursue the TEFL certification program at TEFL Worldwide Prague in Prague, Czech Republic. Where I end up living and working following the program, I am leaving up to The Universe, who always has the first move anyway. I am dedicating this endeavor to pastoral ends and view it as another, but new and fresh, ministry.
