About Me

My story begins in 2011 when the East caught fire as revolution spread across North Africa and I found myself on a one-way flight to Morocco. I had to see, to feel, to meet, to understand the passions and movements of humanity At the same time, I came to a point in my life with a haunting realization (completely miserable, sick of everything. Disenchanted, disillusioned, and let down by my the West) or, rather, two realizations, overwhelming my every breath: One, I could kill myself. Or, Two I could go to Africa. "Let's start with Africa and then see how we feel" I mused, with morbid apathy. It is here, among the oceans of sand and tribes, I discovered a long misunderstood passion, my purpose in life, which has since led me down a path of working with tribal peoples of the world, working my way across North Africa and the Middle East. To Wadi Musa, Jordan where I was introduced to Tibetan Buddhism and learned about the plight of the Tibetan People. My purpose for taking time out of your busy schedule, for taking the initiative, for taking the bold action of asking, of begging for assistance, is to travel across the Himalayan countries of India, Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan so that I can share the stories, lives, cultures of these wonderful, and sadly displaced peoples. With my background and career in travel writing, narrative essays, and journalism, It is my goal to visit these regions, collect their stories, to learn the truths of life in the Himalaya while I pursue my own spiritual development. All of this will be documented daily --Wifi willing! Since 2012 I have been pursuing an education in Tibetan Buddhism and oh what a dream it would be to visit these lands so that I may share them with the world at large.
