Hi! My name is Alan Lam. I am currently a sophomore at Washington State University, living life to the fullest and learning as much as I can. I am a Kinesiology major and a Spanish minor, working on a Pre-Med track. My current goal is to finish up my undergraduate work and hopefully attend medical school somewhere in the country. As a person, I would like to think I am funny, but after telling my mom that she laughed at me so I am not entirely sure... A little bit more about me- I am majoring in Kinesiology, the study of human movement, which is perfect for me because I am an extremely active person. I am in love with the outdoors whether it be camping, hiking, kayaking, or rock climbing. Sports are a huge part of my life as well, specifically soccer and football, but I love the rest of them too! I am a die hard Seattle Sounders fan! Go Sounders! I am also of Chinese descent, which I thank God for everyday because I LOVE ASIAN FOOD. Honestly, I love any type of food. If you tell me it tastes good, I will try it 110% of the time! With my Chinese descent, most of my family still lives over on the other side of the world. My family originated from Hong Kong and we try to go back every summer. I love the city so besides the smog, I love everything about Hong Kong. The constant movement, noise, and markets open. I can definitely live outside of the city, but I definitely plan on living in the city at some point in my life for the experience. Among Hong Kong, I have also visited Canada, Tokyo, Bangkok, Taipei, Cebu, and Costa Rica! The only trip I haven't gone with family is Costa Rica, but only because it was a trip for the orchestra I played in. Concerning other non-physical hobbies, I love watching TV series. Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Grey's Anatomy, and other series that I would prefer to not list or else it would seem like I have no other life besides eating dumplings and watching tv. My taste in music is all over the place. One minute I could be listening to country, and the very next minute be listening to rap. I love anything that can get my head bobbing or my foot tapping, but I especially like Indie music and other artists like Ed Sheeran, Drake, Dustin Lynch, and The National Parks. Anything to do with the medical field- count me in! I love talking about anything medically related. Both of my parents are in the medical field and I am also a Pre-Med student. I hope to become a cardio-thoracic surgeon aka Heart Doctor! So anyone with a broken heart cam come to me! I have ice-cream, chocolate, tissues and Netflix!- unless you actually have ventricular septal defect (VSD) and need a pulmonary valve replacement... In that case, give me a few years to learn how to perform surgeries and then call me. At the end of the day, I am just a regular student trying to make his impact on the world and help anyone along the way! (: Go Cougs!
