Hi! My name is Alexis and I am a junior at SUNY Purchase College. I was born in Louisiana and was adopted by a lovely woman named Lois. I was raised in Rye Brook, New York with my mom. Since the age of three I have loved acting and performing for others. At first I began performing Annie Get Your Gun in my grandmother's bedroom. At the mere age of three I knew every. single. word. I then graduated to performing in after school programs, specifically as Jimmy Cricket, and local theatre programs, as the Mother Goose from Charlotte's Web (let's not dwell on the fact that I only had one line, which consisted of three of the same word and forgot it all the day of the show). I progressed even further in the early years of high school by partying in the ensemble of the musicals. I was shy, but the director gave me a shot come tenth grade. I had one line in the musical, "Seussical" and this time I nailed it! This gave me the confidence to audition for more parts, and eventually I was able to earn roles such as Candy(One flew over the cocoas nest), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls), Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), and Maria (West Side Story). Since Entering college I have not pranced my acting, but my passion still remains. I am sick and tired of the idea that my career goal is too far- fetched, so I am ready to take any opportunity that I find. Here's to chasing some badass dreams!
