Hi, my name is Alis! I'm a sophomore studying political science at Stetson University. I am also a Presidential Scholar at Stetson who is working as the Executive Editor of our university’s magazine, the Reporter. There is a five-week study abroad program that my university is offering to students this summer to study and obtain transfer credits in Kyoto, Japan. This five-week program is a chance to utilize my university’s resources and further my education that breaches beyond what can be taught in a classroom. I will be the one who is paying for the program cost for this trip as well as the airfare and local expenses. The program cost is $4300, but with $3500 in scholarships, it goes down to $800. Though, with adding money for roundtrip plane tickets and local expenses, I am currently working to conjure up $6800-- Hence, the attempt of getting some money from anywhere I can. I am grateful for your consideration for my campaign, and just know that I will be putting the money to good use.
