About Me

Hello! I’m Alison J. Santos-Marquez, a passionate and dedicated student at the University of Puerto Rico, majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology. My academic focus is deeply rooted in neuroscience, specifically in neurotechnology. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I have always been fascinated by the complex workings of the human brain and the potential for technology to transform our approach to health and medicine. My interest in neurotechnology is not just academic; it's driven by a desire to develop innovative solutions for neurodegenerative diseases, which have touched many lives, including my family. I am fortunate to be part of a community that nurtures my scientific curiosity and provides me with the tools to pursue research that can lead to meaningful breakthroughs. My educational journey is also marked by a commitment to community service, through which I aim to encourage and inspire other students in Puerto Rico to reach for their dreams and make a difference. I am now seeking to expand my horizons by studying abroad in South Korea, a country renowned for its advancements in technology and rich cultural heritage. This experience will not only enhance my skills and knowledge but also allow me to bring back valuable insights to my homeland. Through this campaign, I hope to gain the support needed to embark on this transformative journey. Thank you for considering supporting my educational endeavors. Together, we can make a significant impact!
