Starting in East Texas August 2022, as a fellow Hospice worker in the Rural areas of the Pineywoods Deep East TX, I launched a recognition awards program fueled by outside corporate and local business owners who donated prizes, trips, and more to award nurses along with certificates and media related recognition in the rural areas of deep East TX including Cleveland, Shepherd, Corrigan, Chester, Woodville, Groveton Huntsville Trinity & Livingston. We are underway with the 2nd Annual NOTY Awards program after a multitude of positive feedback and catching the attention of several large nurse organizations with encouragement to lead forward after a "pay it forward" ripple effect movement elevated our entire regional area. We are thrilled and blessed to work alongside and aid in helping retain and assist all nurses struggling with compassion fatigue or burnout and empowering to connect and collaborate to bring the future a rejuvenated and passionate healthcare force that will inevitably result in the best patient outcomes. Now for 2023 we have over 30 Committee Members dedicated to helping us grow and Texas Nurses Association is featuring us on their upcoming Podcast and Magazine in being the innovative drive toward Resiliency and Retention to save the Nursing Profession.
