I am Angelica May L. Bathan, 23 years old, and recently graduated at De La Salle Lipa. I am a dedicated and passionate individual, currently pursuing my education in the field of hospitality. My academic achievements reflect my commitment to excellence in this field, and I am excited to further enrich my knowledge through experiences like the upcoming internship program in the USA. Well, my upbringing has deeply entrenched the value of charity and aiding those in need within me. Growing up in a family actively engaged in philanthropy, particularly with my parents deeply involved in politics, providing assistance has become second nature. Our shared experiences of extending aid and services to those requiring help have forged a strong bond among us. In the wake of the Taal Volcano Eruption, our resilience was tested, only to be followed by the unforgiving grasp of the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst these successive calamities, we found ourselves propelled to stand firm for our community. Tirelessly, we sought benefactors and private contributions to furnish essential goods and provisions to the people. The challenges of transitioning to online learning further tested my mettle, presenting a struggle I had to navigate. The very industry I hold dear began to falter, as it found itself ensnared in the clutches of this relentless adversity. Despite the waves of despair that threatened to engulf me, a spark of determination ignited within. Gazing back upon the hardships we had triumphed over before, the current tribulations paled in comparison. With an ignited passion, I rekindled my affection for the realm of hospitality. Even in the face of businesses shuttering and hotels succumbing to bankruptcy, I resolved to carve out my own path. Within this tumultuous landscape, I am resolute in my mission. To go above and beyond mere customer satisfaction is my fervent pursuit.
