About Me

I’m a 27-year-old teacher from San Diego, California, and I’ve spent the last three years teaching at a Title I school. Teaching isn’t just my job—it’s my passion. Every day I show up for students who need consistency, compassion, and someone who believes in them, and that has shaped not only the kind of teacher I am, but the kind of person I strive to be. I’ve always felt called to help others and to learn from the world beyond what I know. I want to experience cultures unlike my own, to listen, to learn, and to grow—both as a person and as an educator. I believe travel has the power to deepen empathy, broaden perspective, and strengthen the way we connect with others, especially in the classroom and in service. I’m in a unique season of life. I’m not married, I don’t have children, and I’m still in my 20s. This is the time I can say yes—to exploration, to learning, and to using my gift of teaching in meaningful ways wherever I go. My goal isn’t just to see the world, but to give back, learn from others, and return with experiences that will continue to shape how I serve my students and my community. This is my time to explore, grow, and make an impact.
