Hi! My name is Ava and I am a college student in Kentucky. I am studying to become a multilingual medical interpreter. I am currently studying towards fluency in Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL). I have a deep passion for language but love the people and culture that comes with it even more. I have a lot of support from my family in Michigan and value the education they provided to me and value the current university education that I am providing for myself. I fell in love with Central America with visits to my exchange students from Guatemala. This summer (2025) I have the opportunity to study in Heredia, Costa Rica and learn even more about the language, people, and cultures.
