I am Aysha! I am funny, I am annoying, I am pretty cool but most of all I am inquisitive. I want to help a lot of people in a unique way and I think the most unique way is to be yourself and still help. A lot of people who say 'I want to help people' often develop and become a part of a system which carries out a routine of how to help people but thats what I do not want, I want to help people by being me! I am a university student studying Psychology (BSC). Now i know and believe that although my degree will give me a kickstart to the theory behind how psychology works it won't equip me for it in the real world and that is what I aim to achieve through SLV and volunteering throughout my degree to make me stand out but also understand it better personally. In the future, I want to be in a position to tackle how mental health affects different communities, as with the many world events happening we know that there are various versions of mental health out there and I hope my experiences will lead me to understand how and why different cultures perceive mental health differently and how we can create and educate people of the effects and what it actually is.
