About Me

My name is Beatrice, and I’ve dedicated my life to empowering young people and strengthening communities. As a former ESL teacher and now a community advocate and youth soccer coach, I’ve seen firsthand how mentorship, education, and teamwork can transform lives. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for youth—whether through sports, career readiness, or STEM education—and I believe service is the most powerful way to inspire change. This volunteer trip to Africa is deeply meaningful to me because it allows me to learn from resilient communities, share my skills, and bring back knowledge that will help me establish a youth career center in my hometown of Bessemer, Alabama. What drives me is the vision of a world where every young person has access to guidance, resources, and encouragement to reach their full potential. This journey is not just about travel—it’s about building bridges, fostering hope, and carrying lessons home to uplift others.
