About Me
Hi my name is Caitlin and I am 19 years old. Throughout my life I have always been very passionate about nature and our planet. About 6 years ago I had gotten very sick, and wasn't in a position where anyone ever thought I would be able to hike, travel or even work a job ever again. After many years of rehabilitation recovery I am so happy to say that I'm able to do all of those things again to some degree. Now getting out and moving my body and being immersed in nature is more important to me than ever. I don't think I ever truly realize what a substantial part of my life that was until I thought I had lost it. I now want to take full advantage of the opportunities put in front of me and I want to travel. I want to see the world. More importantly, I want to learn how to take better care of our earth. That is why I am volunteering for a program called worldwide organization of organic farming, or WWOOF. The idea is you travel to different organic and sustainable farms to learn about their practices. This comes with the hope that I can apply that knowledge to the way I live my life, and I can share that knowledge to others. A lot of agricultural practices hurt the planet and they hurt our bodies, and I want to play part in stopping that. Apart from my reasoning for funding, here is more on me as a person. I'm very loving, very caring and very passionate! I love to lift others up and see those around me succeed. I'm a musician, a poet, and I love animals with every fiber of my being! I believe all creatures are made with a soul and belong on this earth just as much as we do. I've done a lot of volunteer work with mustang rehabilitation locally, and I want to expand my outreach with the good I can do all around.
