About Me
My name is Caleb Parker! Presently, I'm a student in my senior year studying Economics and Finance at Lamar University. I am also planning to attain a Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics at Lamar University. I'm a peer mentor for Cardinal Communities, Student Government Association College of Business Senator, Association of Information Systems Vice President, V.S.F.S Office of the Director of National Intelligence Intern, and a member of the College of Business Student Advisory Council to the Dean. My family consists of my father, Jeremy Parker, mother, Stacey Parker, and two younger siblings Madison and Cameron Parker. I've grown up in Beaumont, Texas, my entire life. My favorite hobbies are playing sports, especially basketball and football, and spending time with my friends. I also enjoy attending church and community volunteer activities. I have always been excited about sports performance, and I would like to perform statistical analysis for a professional basketball or football team. However, sports can be a finite career field, so realistically if a statistician for a professional sports team does not work out, I can still use the Business Degree in Economics and Finance as an actuary or an economic consultant. With this field of study, I would still be able to analyze data and discover what is best for a company, whether that be regarding profit, insurance premiums, or studying competitive market conditions.
