Hello family, friends, and supporters,

I'm reaching out with both excitement and urgency regarding my upcoming study abroad trip to South Africa and Eswatini this May 2025. My name is Bella Brown, a junior at Nazareth University in Rochester, NY, majoring in Communications and Media with minors in Community Youth Development and Digital Marketing.

My previous study abroad experience in Cuba this past January 2024 was transformative, broadening my perspective and deepening my appreciation for diverse cultures. This ignited a desire within me to continue exploring the world and engaging with different communities.

This program in South Africa and Eswatini offers an incredible opportunity to do just that. Over three and a half weeks, we will participate in collaborative service-learning projects focused on South Africa and Swazi history, culture, and politics, youth development, urban and rural sustainability, and wildlife conservation. Our work will involve visiting schools, teaching high school students, supporting preschoolers, and contributing to local education initiatives.

This program is deeply meaningful to me because of my passion for community building, my desire to connect with my heritage, and the invaluable global perspective and skills it will provide for my future career.

However, I'm facing an immediate financial hurdle. I'm short $1800, and the remaining payments are due this Friday, March 28th. I understand that everyone faces their own financial challenges, but any support you can offer, whether a donation or simply sharing this post with family and friends, would be deeply appreciated.
