About Me

I am a student at Cleveland State Community College and I absolutely love kids and poetry. I am a twenty-year-old sophomore in college and the oldest and only girl of four. I did extremely well in school academically along with having the title of Yearbook editor, National Honors Society Treasurer, Cherokee Singers soprano, Stage Director, and 30+ awards. This is not what I sees as success. I was first introduced to poetry in the sixth grade when my English teach gave me an assignment that was more than finding adjectives that started with each letter of my name. From there, writing poetry became the middle ground of my life. Writing helped me get through the worst and the best parts of my childhood and teen years leading up to who who I today. From parents’ divorce to unfortunate friends to an abusive relationship to finding myself; I never would have fought and conquered the barriers without God and the art of poetry. This is where I believe my success lies in my heart. I plans to use my newfound strength to foster children and help them find their own strength to defeat the barriers in their life.
