Hiiii everyone. I need your help. I will soon be participating in my first international volunteer program in Lima, Peru. Those that know me well know that I have a passion for helping people and would go to many lengths to help or make someone’s day/life easier. Volunteering abroad has been a lifelong dream of mine and I’ve never felt more ready to lean into that dream than now. My program is 7 days long and I will be assisting with community construction and renovation. Unexpectedly, volunteering and donating your time comes with a hefty price and several fees (go figure). In addition to general program fees, I will also be taking unpaid time off of work for this program, and the combination of both, naturally, will cause a great dent financially.
