Hello, I am an ex-Trappist monk, with a solid Buddhist training, both stretching back over 20 years. None the wiser for it as still following my heart and volunteering for challenging projects... for a more senior guy. I'm in India on a one year business visa trying to help the monks and later some disadvantaged kids here with their education. Unfortunately I got scammed when applying for the visa, later using an agent successfully but with the added expenses. The stop-over in Riyadh also involved paying for another surprise visa, just to be able to take the onward flight. My first time in India, so all this is new for me. This campaign on fundmytravel is intended to provide a little extra financial wiggle-room in a good cause. This first job does offer a stipend (official salary not allowed), but it isn't a lot. The other intended destination will be a school where no payment is offered. The people there have literally nothing.
