About Me

Hi! My name is Emma, and I am in my first year at MDC as an Honors student working as a Criminal Justice major. I plan to graduate around 2024, achieve to be able to go to Yale University, and continue studying to pursue a career in the FBI or Interpol. While I was in early middle school, I got into the show Criminal Minds. Since that moment, I knew that what I wanted to do in life was to be able to become a detective and solve crimes. Once I graduated from high school, I decided to major in Criminal Justice, and I have not looked back since. Few people know this, but finding a study abroad program within my major is challenging. The most popular majors for studying abroad are related to Business, Art History, Fashion, etc. While those majors seem like an incredible opportunity to take studying abroad, I prefer to be able to study what I actually enjoy, which is Criminal Justice. After months of research, I finally found the perfect program with my major included. The program is called AIFS Abroad, and it will take place in the lovely city of London. There, I would not only be studying Criminal Justice, but I would also be taking credits related to Psychology and Law, all of which I am incredibly interested in, and I am considering making one of those my degree minor. This program offers me the opportunity to study in London and create my own experiences, such as getting to know the culture and meeting people from the United Kingdom and other parts of the world. The college I will attend through this program offers classes with people from different backgrounds, and I look forward to this opportunity. I am very excited about this possibility, and I cannot wait to tell people about my experience with others and be able to share about the process and about my time in London. I look forward to sharing the memories and experiences with my peers and you because I know it will be worth every sweat and hard work put into this trip.
