Tomoko Hata is a musician and a researcher. She completed a master's programme in ethnomusicology at Royal Holloway, University of London in 2017. She can play the piano, violin, Finnish folk instruments and sing. She is particularly interested in Finnish folk music, as well as Indonesian gamelan ensembles and African music. In addition to music, she also worked as an English and science teacher in Japan.
