Hello everyone! For those who do not know me, my name is Gentille Runyambo, and I reside in North Carolina. After 14 months of an intense accelerated program, I knew I needed a break before I start my job hunting. However, I desire to do something meaningful with my free time, by giving back to the world. Volunteering has been an integral part of my life for many years, and which I have not once regretted. I am fundraising for a volunteering trip in the Middle East in May 2017. This trip is through GoEco, a humanitarian and ecological volunteering organization which gives volunteers the opportunity to work on different projects and to give back to foreign communities. I will be volunteering in a Rehabilitative Daycare for Children with Developmental Delays in Jaffa. I am very much looking forward to this life-changing experience as well as to helping others make a difference. The only obstacle that is in the way of my goal is my financial situation. The cost of the trip is going to exceed my financial abilities. The cost is $3,500, and I have already raised $300 from family members and friends. The donation will go towards the program application fees, flights, lunch and dinner, airport transfer to orientation, daily transportation to project site, and personal expenses.
