Taking the initiative to learn about why I identify the way that I do has ignited an interest in exploring how I personally got to this point via the histories of my ancestors and the spaces that I occupy. How do my identities impact these spaces? My goal is to clarify for myself the blurred lines of history created by the dominant narrative in order to promote education in communities and inspire acceptance or understanding of our identities.
