I am a 62-year-old ex-marine engineer who spent a decade sailing as engineer aboard huge cargo carriers as well as tugs in the oil industry. At age 29 I realized a seventeen year-long childhood dream. I had since the age of twelve had a burning desire to visit the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean. I found this an extremely empowering and life-altering experience. There I met a really amazing local family who offered me accommodation and home cooked meals. I was not a tourist; I was a traveler. I also met amazing South Africans who insisted that if I did not work on the island, I was not allowed to buy any beer but simply accept and drink up. I was hired to service engines and do diving work for a fist full of dollars. I was hired to sail a yacht to Greece and on to film star salary employment aboard multimillion-dollar mega yachts cruising the Caribbean, our charter guests Lords and Ladies from the UK. I later backpacked Europe, lived and worked as scuba dive master in Thailand as well as Philippines where I spent the entry into the new millennium and the next seven years in paradise repairing damaged coral reefs and replanting mangrove forests. Today I am the father of Hope and Faith, the husband and life companion of the love of my life and the founder of my family legacy, The Power of Hope, Faith and (unconditional) Love, a people-empowerment entity with various projects designed to empower historically disadvantaged individuals and families thirty years after the end of apartheid South Africa; this dire need exists in many communities. One project entails the design (invention) of a green alternative energy technology. Another entails a Family Higher Consciousness "self-Challenge". Another entails a food security project designed to accommodate forty food crops in a 1,5 m square area on vertical gardening structures along with pots, soil, seeds and support from a partner organization. This campaign is vital to the success of the alternative energy project. We envisage identical sister projects established in Europe, the Emirates, Seychelles, Mauritius and South Africa hopefully educating, training and employing collectively thousands of individuals.
