I am a first year student at the University of California- Riverside. I aspire to make a career as an oncologist to work with children specifically. I chose children because they deserve to have a better life because all children deserve to live a healthy and playful life. Which is why I feel pediatric oncology is the right call for me because it helps me give children a sense of normalcy. Instead of treating them like patients, I want to make them feel like people. In addition, I come from a family of five with an older brother and a younger brother. As the second child in the family to go into college, I am the first female to make it this far.
