Juan Carlos was born and raised in Venezuela. At the age of 16, his family emigrated to the United States where he finished high school and graduated from The Ohio State University. In college he discovered the world of languages and was taken away by Italian, so he decided to make a career out of his passion. At the age of 22, Juan Carlos decided to pack up again his bags and moved to Siena, Italy for grad school. As time went by, an amazing job opportunity came along. Today, he is the Program Coordinator at Siena Italian Studies, the study abroad program he attended during his undergraduate studies at OSU.
