I turned 60 years old this year. Last year on my birthday I became a widow. After 35 years of an abusive marriage, I found myself FREE for the first time in my life. I have spent my whole life doing what was asked or needed of me, while no one bothered to ask me what I wanted or needed. My whole life I have dreamed of traveling to 3 places, New Zealand, Greece and Hawaii. Honestly, I pictured myself doing it at a much younger age. My husband had no interest in traveling, so I was not permitted to go and he was born in Hawaii. Then in 1999 I won an all-inclusive 7 day vacation package. Everything was paid for even airfare. 3 months later I was diagnosed with Uterin cancer. I had a full hysterectomy at the age of 35. There were complications and i almost died. However, after 2 rounds of Chemotherapy it was confirmed, the cancer was gone. By the time i was fully recovered it had been a little over a year and the Hawaii trip was only good for a year. In the 23 years since, I have not had the opportunity nor the means to go on any kind of vacation. Now that I have no one to tell me I can't....I was recently diagnosed with 'Early On-set Dementia'. I have approximately 1 year before it gets bad and I will not be able to travel. However, now they have me on Disability and I do not have the money. So this Campaign is MY BUCKET LIST. MY DREAM. Please help me fulfill my dream before I can't remember that I even had a dream.
