My Name is Jumwoh Miguel Valery. I recall using an FM microphone to dramatize a daily radio play which I wrote for my community in Bamenda, Cameroon and which compelled them to reserve tickets at least three days before any of my many scheduled performances at our community hall. That was when I was only 10 years old. My community members were so amazed and pleased to have such a young talent among them that they nicknamed me “Miki.” Which means “the smart one.” Upon completing high school, my love and zeal for story interpretation and acting grew even stronger. With the support of my community members and family, I gained admission into the Bamenda Community College, Cameroon, in 2008, to pursue my dreams of a career in the acting field.
