About Me
Howdy Y'all! My name is Kendra and I am freshman undergraduate Animal Science Major at Texas A&M University, but more importantly I am the loudest and proudest member of the class of 2026, AAAAAHHH!!! I am originally from a tiny little town in the thumb of Michgan called Brown City, and I have plans to become a large animal reproduction veterinarian. I come from a family of six and a centennial farm, I am a first-gen student and I am very involved in many organizations and clubs. I am studying abroad in the Fall of '23 at the Soltis Center in Costa Rica. This program is for pre-med and pre-vet students, it gives us months of hands on experience as well as immersive classroom education. We will have the opportunities to help out vet clinics and hospitals all over the country, and even into Panama for a few weeks! Not only will we be able to help in clinics and hospitals, we also will be helping to vaccinate wildlife and offer our services wherever they are needed! I am passionate about this project because I absolutely love animals and helping others of all species. I am so excited to make an impact on people that I know I can help. I chose this destination because it gives me experience in a place and ecosystem that I have absolutely no experience. This will help me become a better vet and a more well rounded person. I know this will be the most character building exercise I have ever got to participate in! I am so excited to go on this trip and I would appreciate your support, every cent helps me to reach my goals!!!
