Hello! My name is Kiera Brummet, I love working with children and I hope to make a change in the healthcare systems of the world. I dream to work with atypical children and their families as a Developmental Therapist to aid in their growth and help them feel important because those children deserve to be treated as equals. On my Costa Rica study abroad I want to learn about global citizenship because it entails respecting universal values such as peace, sustainability, and defending the human rights and dignity of others. I will develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values about Costa Ricans and their way of life. 'Pura Vida' or 'simple life' is an emotion, an attitude, and a way of life.
