I am currently the Chief of Police in a small town. Law Enforcement is an increasingly complex endeavor, and the politics of it are very taxing. I have witnessed my share of corruption and lies, as well as the consequences of standing against them. After much thought, I believe my compass needle is pointing a new direction. I have a strong desire to travel and learn other cultures, as well as enrich my daughter's knowledge of culture while instilling a sense of love and care for others as we build memories. I have also made some progress towards my pilot license, as I sought for my next career to be in aviation- not as an airline pilot, but something with a deeper purpose. I believe I have found that purpose. I recently learned of opportunities to fly into remote areas and assist in transporting people and resources to provide better nutrition, education, and even a path to God! The struggle for these programs is that they are generally volunteer programs, because they maximize their funding in other ways. Additionally, the FAA does not allow a pilot to be compensated unless they meet many requirements and become a commercial pilot. How many people in the world can donate their time to such causes and go without income? I have a solution! I am eligible to retire with pension, if I were to purchase credit for my remaining time. The cost of this is not cheap, and asking for assistance is very difficult for me. However, I do believe in this cause and I believe that my background and various skills, such as being fluent in Spanish will help me excel in this endeavor. My intentions initially are to purchase credit for service to retire, finish my private pilot certificate, and then hopefully begin providing services in Central and South America while pursuing my instrument rating, commercial, and multi-engine certificates. Any contribution is gratefully appreciated, and I humbly ask for your assistance in providing aid and opportunity for children that are grateful for every ounce of help they can get!
