About Me

I am a second year student at the University of Plymouth studying Bsc (Hons) Ocean Science and Marine Conservation. I already have working experience volunteering at The Blue Planet Aquarium (Ellesmere Port, UK) in both zoology and customer service roles, I have completed a research project at Bangor University incorporating the 3D printing process into Marine Biology; writing a scientific report entitled "The 3D morphology of Sabellaria Alveolata reefs" gaining me a Gold STEM crest award for my paper and I have maintained a job at Marks and Spencer store since October of 2015. Outside of my studies I enjoy a number of activities such as horse riding, rowing and a number of other water sports to keep me active and on the go. This affiliation with the ocean from such a young age is what cemented my interest and drive to enter this industry. My passion for this subject has only ever increased with my extended experience in the field but also seeing what change I can make to peoples lives with a little time and hard work. I am a hard working, outgoing and extremely enthusiastic person that has worked efficiently in a team on numerous occasions and loves to help others. I hope to gain invaluable skills from this experience that I will carry through my career and my life.
