We are Laura and Andrea, two friends from Galicia ( North of Spain ). We both have studied a degree in Humanities in the University of Santiago de Compostela and in 2015 we had a grant to do an intership as archivists in the State Archive of Florence (Italy). Thanks to that, we discovered that we wanted to work in libraries and archives. Now we are studying for the archivist public exams in our country, but there aren't many vacancies and working experience counts. In order to obtain more experience as archivists, we want to do a volunteer during four weeks in summer in a State Archive in Italy ( probably Genova because they need volunteers ). We decided to do it in Italy because you don't need to be university student and in our country that's compulsory. We ask for help to pay the flights bewteen Galicia - Milan / Bologna, the train to Genova and the accomodation for 4 weeks. Help us to do a volunteer and to become archivists!! Thanks a lot!!
