About Me
Hi, I'm Lauren Sciaudone! I’m currently a college student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Public Relations concentration and a minor in marketing. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the world around me, its people, cultures, challenges, and the endless opportunities for connection and growth. I began exploring this passion through a mission trip to Bethlehem Farm in West Virginia, where I experienced the power of community, service, and simple living. Now, I’m ready to take that curiosity even farther through Semester at Sea, where I can learn firsthand from diverse cultures and global perspectives. In Spring 2026, I’ll be embarking on the experience of a lifetime: the Semester at Sea program. Over four months, I’ll be sailing to 10+ countries across multiple continents, studying global issues while living on a ship with students and faculty from around the world. From visiting cities and villages to engaging in service learning and international coursework, this program is more than a study abroad; it's an immersive, transformative journey that aligns perfectly with both my academic and personal goals. I chose Semester at Sea because I believe that real education happens when you step outside your comfort zone. I want to see how the world lives and listens. I want to learn not just about other cultures, but from them. And I want to take everything I learn and bring it back to my community, my career, and carry it on to make a future impact in the world. Outside the classroom, I love scrapbooking, photography, spending time with friends and family, and staying active! I strive to stay open-minded, lead with empathy, and approach every experience as a chance to grow. Whether I’m traveling or staying local, I believe in showing up with intention, heart, and a commitment to making a positive impact wherever I am.
