Hi everyone! I am Karissa's cousin, Leigh. I wanted to set up something to provide a way for people to support Karissa and her family in a special way since Maci went to Heaven. They have some time that they are using to grieve this loss, and adjust to a very different life, and felt that traveling would be very therapeutic for them, to see friends and family or go to somewhere the children would love to visit but have not been able to. Maci has had 24/7 care since she was born, so 5 and a half years later, they are going to have the opportunity to "get away for a bit," and felt this might happen sooner than later to have some space from the house and everything that has happened. Please feel free to donate to funding their travel and a fun adventure for the family if you are interested. I was wracking my brain for ideas of things to help, and Karissa's father Jay mentioned travel when we were talking about ideas, and I thought of this site.
