About Me
I am a high school student in Pennsylvania who is passionate about nature, animals, photography, writing, and the environment. I created an organization called BSCAPE (Bucks Students for Climate Action and Protection of the Environment) to aid in the fight for environmental justice. In July 2019, I volunteered on two Pueblo farms in New Mexico and was inspired by the indigenous communities’ use of sustainable agriculture systems and preservation of the local environment. I am currently studying climate justice and want to be an environmental conservation scientist. I began my social activist ambitions in Doylestown when I was selected to travel with the Peace Center and the African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC) in D.C. to speak on the House Floor of the United States Congress about discrimination. I am a core organizer for the organization Bucks Students Demand Action Against Gun Violence, a member of the Doylestown Pride Committee that created Doylestown’s first Pride celebration in 2019, and a frequent participant with the social justice group Rise Up Doylestown. I have been a speaker and coordinator for Doylestown’s Women’s Marches, the March for Our Lives, and Trans Day of Remembrance vigil. I hope to spread awareness for the climate issue and create a platform that will enable concerned youth like me to get involved and make a change.
