My name is Maria Garcia, I am 20 years old and I am currently pursuing a career in Mechanical Engineering. I will be attending the University of Texas in Arlington with 58 transferable credits from Tarrant County College. I want to take advantage of the opportunity I was given to study abroad and build a professional relationship with engineering and hope that it will help me go further in my career. I want to be able to go to various places for my job and I am willing to work wherever they need me. It will be hard to leave for a semester without any tears since I am very close to my family but it is because of them why I am able to take opportunities such studying in Japan. My family means everything to me and all I try to do is make them proud with my accomplishments and thank them for pushing themselves to the max to get where I want to be.
