Hello! My name is Megan Poffinbarger and I am currently a second-year Biological Sciences student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I absolutely love being a student and enjoy having the opportunity to learn and educate others. Conservation is a passion of mine, whether it takes place on land or in the water. I firmly believe that the Earth's natural resources must be preserved, along with the astounding flora and fauna on our planet. I am excited to pursue higher education and research opportunities in this area. I conduct research on sea urchins with Dr. Nikki Adams at the Cal Poly Pier in Avila, California. I also work two jobs and volunteer bimonthly at Active Church Children's Ministry in downtown San Luis Obispo. I LOVE to travel and hope that my future career will have a healthy hybrid of international adventure and discovery.
