About Me

I am an almost graduated student of Psychology at Canterbury Christ Church University. I would like to broaden my experience especially in the area of clinical psychology, mental health and well-being through a Sri Lanka volunteering, where I can apply the knowledge acquired during my studies. I consider myself as a friendly, optimistic, resourceful and active person. I would like to share my gifts, skills and experience and also believe I can contribute to making a positive change in lives of people, there. I am a reliable person with a social and environmental awareness who enjoys helping people and approaching different age groups. During almost five years of working as a youth leader I have learnt how important friendships and a personal approach are. I love being involved in a wide range of activities (sport events :), creative workshops). With some organising skills and ability to solve conflicts gained while working in church youth programs, leading teams at summer-camps for children and also volunteering at Age UK, it would be a pleasure to try a different type of volunteering. Even if it requires pushing myself out of my comfort zone. :)
