I am a passionate social entrepreneur, tech innovator, and advocate for sustainable agriculture and youth empowerment. As the Founder and Executive Director of Afrixyz Organic Foods and the Afrixyz For SDG2 Global Youth Initiatives Platform, I am dedicated to empowering refugee and rural youth in Uganda through sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, and technology. Having fled Burundi as a refugee in 2012, I have firsthand experience of the challenges faced by displaced youth. This fuels my commitment to creating solutions that provide economic opportunities for marginalized communities. Through Afrixyz, I connect small-scale farmers to national and international markets, ensuring a transparent and equitable food supply chain. I have been selected for prestigious fellowships, including the Watson Institute Fellowship and the Western Union Foundation Fellowship 2025, and have actively contributed to youth policy development in collaboration with organizations like the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the African Union (AU). I am also a mentor at Stanford Entrepreneurship Program and YALI Leadership, supporting young entrepreneurs in developing their businesses. My work extends to public speaking, where I share insights on refugee empowerment, sustainable development, and the role of technology in agriculture at global conferences such as the Ireland International Conference on Education (IICE-2024) and the Africa Universities Summit 2025. Through my leadership, I aim to drive systemic change, policy advocacy, and global collaboration to ensure that refugee and rural youth have access to the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
