My name is Onya Sterling and I am a senior at Adrian College. Due to my involvement with extracurricular clubs during my time at AC I realized that I have a passion for standing up for those who may not be able to do it for themselves. Therefore, once I graduate I am looking to gain some experience working for a non-profit. Eventually, I would like to open up my own non-profit in Detroit that works to help provide resources to people who are struggling to get by. I believe that my time abroad will help give me experience working with people who come from diverse locations, backgrounds, and cultures. I believe that this experience will be invaluable both for my own personal growth as well as experience that will help me as I move into the professional world.
