Pablo Herzberg

About Me

My name is Pablo Herzberg, and I’m a Cuban-born artist, writer, and future art historian. I grew up in a country where speaking freely and creating fearlessly could cost you everything. My family and I were forced to leave Cuba because of our anti-government beliefs and actions. We came to the United States searching for freedom—and I found it through art. Art gave me a voice when I had none. Through painting, photography, poetry, and storytelling, I discovered not only self-expression but a profound desire to understand beauty, culture, and history. I graduated from Miami Dade College with Highest Honors, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design. Since then, I’ve worked hard—full-time and independently as a visual artist—to support my dream of continuing my education. In Fall 2025, I’ll begin a new chapter at John Cabot University in Rome, where I’ve been accepted to study Art History. Rome is the ideal place to deepen my understanding of artistic heritage and cultural resilience. As someone who lost their home to political oppression, I believe in the power of history, art, and education to reclaim freedom and rebuild identity. This campaign is about more than funding my education—it’s about helping a Cuban exile chase truth, beauty, and the freedom to learn. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
