Immanuel Praise Fellowship, led by Bishop Kevin Simmons and Prophetess La Quetta Bush Simmons, is a dynamic church in Rancho Cucamonga, California, dedicated to spiritual growth, community outreach, and teaching the Word of God in a clear and impactful way. The church is also expanding its global reach by building a church in Pampose, Ghana. This church will serve as a place of worship and as a community center, providing essential services such as education and medical care for the local village. The initiative aims to create a space where individuals can gather for spiritual, educational, and practical support, fostering a sense of unity and well-being for the people in the region. Prophetess La Quetta Bush-Simmons is an ordained minister who has passionately taught the Gospel for nearly thirty years. She served faithfully at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pomona, California, for 29 years before she and her husband, Bishop Kelvin Simmons, answered the call to establish Immanuel Praise Fellowship in Rancho Cucamonga. Pastor Simmons’s ministry centers on helping God’s people develop a strong spiritual self-concept, grounded in the understanding that true spiritual empowerment emerges from realizing that “we are more Spirit than flesh.” She is deeply committed to supporting and celebrating young African-American youth, strengthening African-American families, and sharing in the successes and sorrows of the larger African-American community.. She understands While she wears many titles, the roles of wife to Bishop Kelvin Simmons and mother to Kandace Iman are closest to her heart. Professionally, she has led four non-profit organizations and served in leadership and advisory capacities for more than 13 cultural and service-oriented organizations. Prophetess Simmons is the founder of the Titus2 Women Wisdom Circle Gathering, established to reestablish the multi-generational circle of communication and teaching critical in womanhood development. God desires to renew the power, love, and bond between generations of women, and the Titus2 Circle seeks to fulfill that calling. Her dedication and impact have been widely recognized. She has been named twice as the Outstanding Volunteer for the Pomona Valley Human Relations Council; listed in the International Who’s Who of Professionals; honored with the Woman of Achievement Award from the YWCA; received the Celebration of Excellence Award in Religion from the Inland Valley News; recognized as a Woman of Distinction by Assembly Member Bill Emmerson; awarded a 2003 Leaders of Distinction Award by the Business Press News Magazine; and featured in Apartment Professional Magazine as one of 14 top women executives in the industry. A certified life coach and the Founder/CEO of Simmons Consulting and Training Services, Prophetess Simmons also serves as the Board Chair and Chief Administrative Officer of Project Fighting Chance, working to ensure every child has a fighting chance. She is the author of Like Pure Gold: A Woman’s Handbook to Obtaining and Sustaining Holiness and co-hosts and co-produces “Our Turn,” a talk show on the Hosanna Broadcasting Network.which works
