About Me
Hello, My name is Paula and I work full time in the mental health field at the state prison where I have also trapped, spayed, neutered and rescued many cats and kittens. I am single with one daughter who has had a lot of health issues and a soft heart for stray animals leading to a financial burden on me. My sweet nephew turned 40 July 7th and is on hospice with metabolic encephalopathy and liver failure. My daughter had emergency surgery 2wks ago and I had to miss almost a week of work using up all of my PTO and then some. My sister and I only have each other and I really need to get back to Okla. to see my nephew and be there for my sister but I need some monetary help since I have no paid time off. Last year when I was in Okla. visiting my sister, I had a stroke the day I was to return home, so my sweet nephew flew to my home to help my daughter clean my house and take care of our many animals while I stayed in Okla. recovering from my stroke. He started getting sick while in Arizona and ended up in the hospital a week after I returned. He spent a week in the hospital then my sister flew him back home to Okla with her where he suffered two major seizures and ended up back in the hospital with several infections going on. He finally got out, was eating healthy and trying to take better care of himself and his daughter (she just turned 14) finally got to fly in from Alaska, he hadn’t seen her for two years, and my sister helped him get an apt. he’s been on disability since he was 16 due to a mass in his brain causing seizures, and after a month and a half of being in their apt. his daughter called 911 because he had been laying on the floor for 2 days and he wouldn’t let her call anyone until she said enough’s enough! He has never come home since and I want so badly to spend time with him and be there for my sister. Thank you so very much for listening to our story! Paula
