Hello, my name is Pooja Patel. I graduated from University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with two minors in Business and Criminology on the pre-law track in December 2022. My family consists of five people: my parents, an older sister, and a younger brother. Throughout my years at the University of Kentucky, I was active in many organizations, including two national honor societies. Education is so important to me and my family because my parents never had the opportunity to finish their education as they came to America. I am a low-income first-generation student wanting to go to law school in Fall 2023. My past and present involvement in school and outside of school, my hard work, my leadership and communication skills, and my ability to overcome adversity makes me a good candidate for many things. Not to mention, I will well-represent any organization, fellowship, and/or university as I set my goals high and fulfill them one by one.
